Charles A. TempletonMachine Inc.Looking Back . . . Looking Ahead Charles A. Templeton founded Templeton Machine, one of America's premiere precision machine facilities, in 1951. The business was originally located in Charles Templeton's mother's garage in Odessa, Texas. The operation eventually moved to Golder Street and finally to it's current location at 2727 N. Golder Ave. in Odessa in 1966. Throughout his career, Mr. Templeton was an active member in SME International ( Society of Manufacturing Engineers) and was President of the society in 1994. From the beginning until his death in 1995, Mr. Templeton provided the experience, knowledge and expert craftsmanship that formed the basis for the high standards by which Templeton Machine has come to be known. Many of Mr. Templeton's ideas are Patented and are still being used in industry today. After Charles Templeton's death, his widow, Mrs. Charles A. Templeton, assumed ownership until her passing in March of 2003. Mrs. Templeton passed the baton to her three sons; Charles A. Templeton II, Richard R. Knight, and Ronald G. Knight. Howard Blount carries on the the tradition of quality and craftsmanship for the company as General Manager. Today, Templeton Machine focuses on providing the highest quality manufacturing and services for the Oil & Gas, Medical, Scientific, Power Generation, Automotive, and Turbine Industries.
