Standing Valve Pulling Tool

                       KOBE TAPER SEAT

          STANDING VALVE PULLING TOOL

This tool consists of a top sub, mandrel, and slip.  It is a positive latch type tool.

The top sub has a 5/8” rod pin up (15/16-10) with a 1 3/8” Otis Flange fishing neck.  It is machined to the same taper as the standing valve seat with two bypass groves milled along the taper for fluid passage.

The mandrel will allow the slip to rise and collapse when inserting the tool into the valve.  It is long enough to knockout the upper knock-out plug of a Kobe valve.

When the upper sub is in the seat, the slip will fall into pulling position as shown and the pulling lips are held expanded by the mandrel.  If it is apparent the standing valve cannot be pulled; continued stroking will peel the pulling lips off the slip allowing the tool to be withdrawn.

The mandrel and slip are made of heat treated alloy steel.

Standard sizes are 2” for 2 3/8” tubing and 2 ½” for 2 7/8” tubing.  Special sizes and variations can be supplied upon request.
